The MicroDVR is must for any one who requires a simple and cost effective way to record covert cameras or temporary CCTV installations where space or power for a standard DVR is limited.
Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, its relatively easy to hide the MicroDVR above a suspended ceiling or to house it in an ABS box.
Battery powered, the new MicroDVR can be used in a briefcase or a large coat pocket to record images and sound from a body-worn covert camera.
Featuring 'video-motion-detection', the MicroDVR can be used to record event-only activations to extend the record storage time from the SD Card. Like most DVRs, there is an option to set up the MicroDVR so that when the SD card is full it will continue to record by overwriting the very oldest stored video first. Alternatively you can set the DVR to stop recording when the card is full.
Once you have recorded on to the SD card you can simply play back the images directly into any device with a standard composite video input directly from the DVR or you can copy the files to a computer and play them back using a standard media player.
The MicroDVR controls are laid out in a simple and easy to use manner and work very much like a standard VCR with PLAY, STOP, RECORD, PAUSE etc so you can get the unit up and running as soon as possible.
Pressing "MENU" on the DVR brings up a list of additional features enabling you to set up time and date stamping, VMD, scheduled recording and adjust quality and frame rate settings for added flexibility.
Using 2 AA type batteries it's easy to use the microDVR without any mains power so it can be used in situations where other standard DVR models can't. As the batteries are AA size you can easily buy extra rechargeable spares and have a quantity to hand at all times.
The microDVR has an additional power input (PSU supplied) for an external power source so that the Micro DVR doesn't need to use batteries where a mains supply is available. In remote installations requiring battery power, if the AA batteries don't have sufficient run-time to capture the images required, an external 5 or 6V battery with a higher capacity can be used to get the required results.
Image quality is adjustable, but the highest record setting is recommended for the best results, maximum
